Directing Experience
As a Primary School teacher in charge of Music. I directed a number of small musicals for a four teacher country school. All children were involved in these productions. Examples are Starship Silver Grey, Of mice and Mozart, Ashton’s Boot. Several of the students involved have gone on to perform in the Arts in adult life.
I have assisted the Senior Syndicate at Gate Pa School with two of their Musicals.
I have been the choir mistress for Gate Pa School, so far being part of two Kids for Kids concerts with Suzanne Prentice and one Schools Choir Festival.
Community theatre
1997 Leader of the Pack  Musical Director for Rotorua Musical Theatre.  Cast member Travis Kahn is now appearing in professional theatre in Australia. He was in The Lion King and the touring Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
1999 Seventies Revival Musical Director for Rotorua Musical Theatre. Cast member Waylon Edwards has gone on to form his own band Poppy Dust
2001 Seventies Revival Musical Director for Tauranga Musical Theatre
2001 Westside on Broadway Chorus Mistress Tauranga Musical Theatre
2005 Ladies of the Night Musical Director Tauranga Musical Theatre

As Musical Director, I feel it is part of my job to coach cast members in their singing, particularly on the technical side of their songs. I want to present the show and the cast as  the best they can be. My goal has always been to have a show that is  as professional as I can make it.

For the last two years, I have taught specialised dance, music and drama in the Junior syndicate.
